As I reflect on another very impactful event, I am reminded of what it truly means to be blessed. Being blessed has so many layers to it.

There is, of course, the financial aspect that is most obvious, but definitely not the most important. Having everyday needs met is a vital part of life—the part that makes everything easier. But what happens when those needs are not met?

The Things We Take for Granted

The simple things in life that most of us take for granted: things like clothing, furniture, personal care items, fundamental daily necessities.

When a person is struggling to get through the day to meet the needs of their family in these areas, it is easy to simply forget to be grateful or feel blessed. In reality, under that heavy weight, it is much easier to feel the exact opposite.

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'"

Matthew 25:40

Where Ministry Plays a Living Role

That is where ministry plays an essential, transformative role. As an active part of Mission House Ministries, the House of Nicolaou gets to play a personal role in making a difference.

Living Gratitude in Action

Recently we witnessed seeing and contributing directly to meeting people’s daily needs. We were able to witness the genuine gratitude and the feelings of sincerely being blessed.

This is the ultimate testimony for the House of Nicolaou. Taking part in meeting the needs of others is the most fulfilling feeling and demonstration of what it means to be a blessing and share God’s Kingdom with others.

"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

2 Corinthians 9:8
